Copy, paste, done. 7 prompts that rewrite your store so ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google AI can actually find, understand and recommend it. Works in any AI chat. No plugins, no tech setup.
Your customers have stopped scrolling and started asking. "What's a good linen sheet set under $200?" "Best fragrance-free serum for sensitive skin?" The answer now comes from an AI tool, not a page of search results.
Here's the catch: AI can only recommend what it can understand. Most stores are written for brand feel, not clarity. Vague homepages, aesthetic product names, missing FAQs and empty meta descriptions mean AI can't tell what you sell or who it's for, so it skips you and recommends someone clearer.
The good news: it's fixable in an afternoon, and the same fixes that make AI understand your store also make real shoppers convert. One effort, two payoffs.
Run this first. It shows you how AI reads your store today, and exactly where the gaps are, before you change a thing.
See your store through the eyes of an AI that has never heard of your brand. Whatever it struggles with becomes your to-do list.
Act as an AI shopping assistant that has never heard of my brand. Use ONLY what I paste below. Don't fill in gaps or be generous. My store name: [STORE NAME] What I think I sell: [ONE LINE, OR PASTE MY HOMEPAGE TEXT] One product, copied from my site: [PASTE PRODUCT TITLE + DESCRIPTION] Now answer: 1. In one sentence, what does this store sell and who is it for? 2. What makes it different from other stores in its category? 3. If a shopper asked you "what's a good [my category] gift under $100?", would you recommend this store? Why or why not? Then give me: - What you could answer confidently, and what you couldn't - The top 3 specific things missing that make this store hard for an AI to understand and recommend This is my AI visibility gap report.
Copy each one into your AI chat and fill in the [brackets] with your own details. Quick wins first.
Your homepage is the most important page for AI understanding. "Premium lifestyle products" tells AI nothing. This fixes that.
Here is my current homepage hero copy: [PASTE HEADLINE + SUBHEADLINE + INTRO] My store sells: [WHAT YOU SELL] My ideal customer is: [WHO IT'S FOR] What makes me different: [YOUR DIFFERENCE] Rewrite my hero section (headline + subheadline + 2-3 sentence intro) so that: - A total stranger or an AI tool instantly understands what I sell and who for - It names my main product categories in plain language - It states what makes me different - It cuts any vague "lifestyle" language Give me 2 versions to choose from. First, score my original out of 10 for clarity and tell me why.
"The Ritual Serum" means nothing to AI. Use the formula: Product Type + Key Feature + Who It's For. Start with your best seller.
Here is one of my products: Current title: [PASTE TITLE] Current description: [PASTE DESCRIPTION] Key facts (materials, size, who it's for, price, anything special): [PASTE FACTS] Rewrite the TITLE using this formula: [Product Type] + [Key Feature/Material] + [Who It's For] (keep my brand name if there is one, add the descriptive title after a dash) Then rewrite the DESCRIPTION to: 1. Open with what the product IS, in one clear sentence 2. Cover who it's for, the problem it solves, and 3-4 specific specs 3. Add my brand voice / emotional language at the END, not the start Max 200 words. Show my original first, then the rewrite, and flag what changed.
AI is built to answer questions. If your page already answers them, AI quotes your page as the source. One of the fastest paths to AI traffic.
Here is my product and its details: [PASTE PRODUCT TITLE, DESCRIPTION + KEY FACTS] Write 8 FAQ questions and answers for this product page. Base them on: - Real buying hesitations for this type of product - Questions a first-time buyer would have - Comparison questions (how does this compare to X?) - Practical usage questions (how long does it last? how do I use it?) Format each as: Q: [question in plain customer language] A: [specific, factual answer, 2-3 sentences] Every answer must include specific facts (sizes, materials, timeframes, certifications). Specific answers are what AI quotes. Vague reassurance like "yes, it's great for sensitive skin" is invisible to AI.
"The Edit" and "Curated Picks" hide what's inside from AI and shoppers. A 10-minute fix with high impact on discoverability.
Here are my collection names: [PASTE YOUR LIST OF COLLECTION NAMES] For each one, tell me if it's: - CLEAR (an AI or shopper knows exactly what's inside), or - VAGUE (a mood/aesthetic name that hides the product type) For every VAGUE one, suggest a rename that: - States the product type clearly - Includes who it's for or the use case - Reads like something a person would actually search for Then write a 2-sentence description for my 3 most important collections. Output as a table: Current Name | Status | Suggested Rename | New Description
Missing and duplicate meta descriptions are one of the most common store issues. You can edit these yourself in your store's SEO settings.
Here are some pages from my store with their current meta (SEO) descriptions: [PASTE: page name + current meta description, for each page. If a page has none, write "MISSING"] For each, flag it as MISSING, DUPLICATE, VAGUE or STRONG. Then rewrite every weak one using this format: [What it is] + [key benefit or feature] + [who it's for] + [soft CTA] Max 155 characters each. Be specific, no fluff. Output a table: Page | Current Meta | Status | Rewritten Meta
AI cross-references your About page for credibility. Lead with what you ARE and citable facts, not your origin story.
Here is my current About / Our Story page: [PASTE ABOUT PAGE TEXT] Rewrite the opening 3 paragraphs so they: 1. Lead with what the brand IS (not how it started or who the founder is) 2. Include 2-3 specific, citable facts that build credibility (e.g. Australian-made, woman-founded, specialist in X, years in business, awards, press, certifications) 3. Clearly state who this brand is for Keep my personality, just make it machine-readable first and human-enjoyable second. Show the original first, then the rewrite.
AI quotes blog content that answers category questions well. Own the question your buyers actually ask and become the recommended answer.
My store's main product category is: [YOUR CATEGORY] A few of my products with key features: [PASTE 3-4 PRODUCTS + WHAT MAKES EACH GOOD] First, tell me the #1 question shoppers ask an AI tool when buying in this category (e.g. "what's the best [product type] for [use case] under $[price]?"). Then write a 600-word blog post that: 1. Opens with that exact question as the headline (H1) 2. Answers it directly in the first 2 sentences 3. Uses 3-4 subheadings written as questions (H2) 4. Uses my products as examples where they fit 5. Ends by recommending my store Write it for someone who found it via an AI search: clear and trustworthy, not a sales pitch.
